I also thought that big Dead Reckoning bike stunt was cheapened by the fact that they CGI’d over the ramp. I get that actually motorcycling off a rocky cliff might have had too many unsafe variables... but then they should have done something else. It looks like Cruise driving on a ramp which has been re-skinned for a video game. Even the cycle itself looks retouched. It renders the stunt irrelevant because it would look almost the same if it were entirely CGI.
Both Mission films could've been filmed back to back, but McQuarrie's bizarre style of coming to set without a finished script and writing it as the film is being made isn't workable. After the 8th film, where they only shot 30% of it, Paramount should go with different directors.
