I watched Uncharted this week and it struck me as bizarre that both of these adventure films have Antonio Banderas for roughly the same amount of screen time.
Ah yeah, that's been a tough one to swallow, but I think Raiders And Crusade were such amazing experiences that they escaped how niche their genres are for audiences. Temple was Indiana purified, AKA not good.
Really good points in your review. To me, the Indy franchise shows sometimes you really do need more than a good story/script. A great Indy movie's quality is inversely proportional to how much CGI was used lol.
Do you think there are any other movies or shows carrying the torch for the Raiders of the Lost Ark experience better than the Indiana Jones franchise? I am thinking of obvious stuff like National Treasure, but potentially less obvious stuff like The Rocketeer, Goonies, and The Mummy.
Anyway enjoyed your review, have no plans to see it until streaming and even then, I'll just keep crossing my fingers they greenlight a sequel series following your suggestion to launch a new era starring his goddaughter.
